About the Kindness Literacy & Engagement Research Project

The survey looks holistically at the emotional culture of your team or workplace.  Whether you know it or not, your culture is deeply affected by the aggregate emotions of the people in your organization.  These emotions are observable both positive and negative and are witnessed verbally and non-verbally, thus being expressed through one’s character and behaviors.  These emotions are manifested in ways such as employees feeling safe physically and psychologically, that they know that what they do and who they are matters, and that they have a strong sense of belonging and community.

The goal of this survey is to provide data to individuals, teams and organizations so that they may consciously manage employee emotions as equally as their mindsets.  Thereby strengthening relationships, enriching your culture, and experiencing an upsurge in employee engagement.

Based on Ms. McIvor’s bestselling book, The Business of Kindness, and developed with the guidance of Canadian and US researchers this instrument is designed to capture an individual’s observations, experiences and contributions in the 12 dimensions of kindness.

The survey gathers real-time data and is a nonjudgmental inquiry into an individual’s honest experience at work.  Once populated, an assessment of the aggregate data is rolled up and presented to the respondent organization live or virtual.
