Why Kindness?

  • Because every person should feel valued, respected and heard.

  • Because it cuts across all cultures, colors, creeds, genders and ages.

  • Because kindness builds empathy and resilience.

  • Because people want to work in places where kindness is intentionally woven into the cultural fabric.

Why Kindness?…because intentional & disruptive kindness is an antidote. It pushes us to be more..

...to do a better job, to be a better human, employee, parent or partner and find solutions that solve problems for more people. Kindness takes us further and has us do things that benefit many-- all the while influencing others around us.

"Kindness is a simple concept… too simple some might think to provide a solution to the complex challenges of today’s world. But it is precisely this simplicity that gives Kindness such power to effect positive change."

-- Olivia McIvor

Four Practices that Turn Compassion into Action

Four Practices that Turn Compassion into Action

Four Practices that Turn Compassion into Action

How do you cultivate a culture of “social compassion” and “loving activism” while at the same time manage and respect personal and organizational boundaries? How do you cultivate your anxious emotions and turn them into active forward motions that directly impact the outcome of your situation? And how can we recognize one another’s needs amidst the minutia of stressors, sadness and challenges in order to lift one-another up above it all?

This powerful session is focused on practices that activate our optimism in a time of great pessimism; culls our confusion about our personal sense of purpose at home and at work, refocuses our presence in a world of digital distraction and overload and motivates us to create more belonging by welcoming others into our circle of influence

Cultivating Optimism in times of Uncertainty

Four Practices that Turn Compassion into Action

Cultivating Optimism in times of Uncertainty

We live and work in unprecedented times where optimism is needed more now than ever. Optimism is related to the word “optimize,” and it is about taking responsibility for the vitality you bring to the space surrounding you.

Positive individuals demonstrate  confidence in how they interact with their environment. They tend to adapt more readily to what comes their way. They are resilient.  they bounce back by using a wider array of positive emotions.

This positive approach affects them and their teams when confronted with problems to solve.   Optimist, are motivated to find solutions, rather than giving up or avoiding an issue.  The research is clear; the benefits of choosing an optimistic response can’t be underestimated.
